BIOGRAPHY
Yuka Hirac is a Tokyo-based visual artist and makeup artist.
After studying makeup in London, she started her career .
She has been working in the fashion scene, magazines, advertising, and runway shows.
Since 2020, she has expanded her practice beyond makeup, exploring photography, installation, and self-published works that reflect her distinctive visual language.
Her work redefines beauty by embracing discomfort and the uncanny hidden within everyday life, using makeup as a medium to question the boundaries of visual art.
Hirac’s creations coexist between intensity and stillness, between beauty and strangeness, fantasy and the everyday.
Positioned at the intersection of contemporary art and fashion, she continues to craft works that quietly unsettle and move the viewer’s perception.
